Cleve Gordon

I’ve been part of the floradio family since April 2020. Before lockdown I was a party DJ working on & off  since the late 1970’s playing local venues around Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire more recently gravitating towards dance music culminating in playing at Sandon Fields music festival in 2019 with more scheduled for 2020. 

My early years were heavily influenced by disco, funk, soul & jazz funk enjoying tunes such as Slick – Space Bass, Jingo – Candido & Atmosphere – Dancing in Outer Space. Growing up, reggae, ska & bluebeat was part of our Sunday afternoon routine where Toots & the Maytals always featured heavily. Throughout the 80’s it was hip hop, breaking & body popping then back into dance music.  The golden thread in my music taste has always been a good bassline & music you can dance to. My weekly 1 hour mixes continue the thread & are predominantly House music, be it Jackin, Disco or Funky House sometimes with an old school Garage mix thrown in for good measure.
