LektroMelodica is a collective of Philadelphia songwriters, musicians, composers, and producers that collaborate to release original music as well as write for other artists.
Their unique sound can be described as a hybrid of electronic and acoustic instrumentation that supports strong, melodic songwriting.
What can be said for the creators of the “LektroMelodic” sound, is that experience is far from lacking despite their cutting edge (yet era-appropriate) method of marketing themselves. Songwriter/producer and LektroMelodica curator, Keath “Lion” Lowry, boasts songwriting credits for TKA – “You Are The One” (Top 20 Billboard Dance charts, Greatest Hits album) and Sybil – “Love’s Calling” (Greatest Hits album) as well as music placements in films such as Lean on Me (Morgan Freeman), When Will I Be Loved (Neve Campbell, Dominic Chianese), Lille Soldat (2008), and Frit Fald (2011).
“When 2 or more members of the collective collaborate to write, and/or perform on a song it ignites the creative spark that is LektroMelodica,” explains Lowry. As a result, a variety of featured artists and collaborators could appear on any given record. However, given the group’s consistent, unique sound, fans will recognize that LektroMelodica spark. Through these means, LektroMelodica remains as flexible, yet dependable, as the digital sea of 1’s and 0’s.
LektroMelodica’s 2013 self-titled EP had multiple records featured on VH1’s hit TV series “Single Ladies” and in the 2011 Danish film “Frit Fald”. They released 2 new records in December 2014 entitled “Go” (feat. Sarah Kane) and “Stars”, which are now available on all digital platforms, and a “Go” Remix EP will be released Spring 2015.
